Available in Texas and across 20 states via Boar’s Head and Sam’s Club brands, says FDA.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, not all cheese products are safe as some are recalled due to the possible contamination with Listeria.
The Ambriola company is pulling about 11,530 items. These come under names like Boar’s Head and Member’s Mark. They went to stores in several states, including Texas.
No one has reported illness from this recall. No other products face impact, the FDA said.
The recalled cheese was distributed between Nov. 3- 25, 2025.
“We take food safety very seriously and immediately alerted stores and distributors to remove the affected products from shelves,” said Phil Marfuggi, chief executive officer. “We are working closely with the FDA and continuing to test our products and facilities to fully understand the situation.”
The U.S Food and Drug Administration recommend not to eat the product in case you possess one of the said products. Give it back to the store in which you purchased it and either have a full refund of it or discard it.
Ambriola can be contacted at 1-800-962-8224 in case of questions. Their call center is open on Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. ET. (P.s. Some guide them to minor changes in hours, but refer to the official contact to get assistance.)
Listeria monocytogenes may lead to severe and occasionally fatal diseases. Children that are young, adults and people with weak immunity are most at risk.
Pregnant women are not spared either. The infection may result in miscarriages or stillbirths as the FDA cautions.
Short-term symptoms are usually marked by high fever, terrible headaches, stomach pain, diarrhea, and nausea in healthy individuals.
